If you haven’t already heard, pizza was rumored a vegetable by Congress back in 2011. Whether or not that’s true…I’m going to go ahead and add it to my personal food pyramid. It’s a food most have grown to love, and I’m not sure I could live without it.
You may assume that Dallas is known for BBQ, and maybe we are, but in my opinion, our pizza joints have proven to outshine even the eateries of New York or Chicago.
I compiled a list of my Top 3 favorite Dallas restaurants that serve up a pizza pie that’s something fierce:
1. Eno’s Pizza Tavern (Bishop Arts District)
Ever since I moved to Dallas, Eno's has continued to be my favorite pizza spot in town. Located in the adorable Bishop Arts District, they not only impress with their delectable pizza options, but their ambiance as well (date night, anyone?). I’m a thin crust fan, and they’re the experts in this area, by far! And let’s not forget about their truffle cheese bread! Pair all of that with a local craft brew, and you’ll be hooked for life.
TOP CHOICE: The Pig Smiley (topped with local honey / benton’s ham / sausage / pepperoni)
Is your mouth watering yet?
2. Il Cane Rosso (Deep Ellum)
A Guy Fieri and Food Network favorite, this place has become the go-to location for Neapolitan pizza. Neapolitan pizza is cooked in a 900-degree wood-fired oven in under 90 seconds, and that’s all the time it needs to reach absolute perfection. Whip out a knife and fork and go to town!

Cane Rosso translates to 'Red Dog', and is named after the owner's dog. This is important information, as the owner formed a dog rescue group called Cane Rosso Rescue in order save lives and raise awareness of dogs in need. Pizza and puppies? Yes, please!
More information on this hotspot can be found in 'Where To Eat Pizza' by Phaidon Books, which is available in our online shop!
TOP CHOICE: The OMB (topped with meatballs, local sausage, caramelized onions, calabrian chiles, hand-crushed san marzanos, house-made mozzarella, basil)
Before you head out and reserve a table, I have one more I have to tell you about!
3. Serious Pizza (Deep Ellum)
You can’t provide a pizza list without including one of the locals' favorite late-night locations offering pizzas the size of Texas itself. That’s no joke. Order the XL, and you’ll need a U-Haul trailer to take it home! If that’s too much for you and your squad, feel free to order by the slice. Serious Pizza is conveniently located within walking distance of all the trendy bars of the Deep Ellum neighborhood. You may have to wait in line with all the hungry Dallasites, but, trust me, it is well worth your time!
TOP CHOICE: Pepperoni

If you’re not hungry by now, then you must be a magician, because my stomach is currently screaming at me to head out and grab a few slices of goodness.
Whether you’re a local or headed to Dallas for vacation, make sure you stop and check out any of the three locations listed above. You will not be disappointed!
