Pear Cut Gem Print by RBTL®

We fell in love with pear cut stones in creating this gold foil stamp art print. The shape is endlessly classy, yet intriguing. Like the perfect man. Or LBD.

A little history: The first pear-shaped diamond was created in the 1400s by Flemish cutter Lodewyk van Berquem of Bruges, inventor of the diamond-polishing wheel, or scarf. This invention enabled him to polish all the facets of the diamond to optimize light reflection within it. It was from this watershed moment onwards that diamonds began to be used in jewelry. (source: 77diamonds.com)

Get to Know the Maker: Read Between The Lines®

“We all have something we dream about doing – for me, it was creating a line of cards. I wanted to write words that moved people to braveness of the heart or a better day. I wanted to print them on paper so good it would make you sigh with the yum of it all. The design had to be modern, warm, and gender neutral. Paper goods that serve men and women with equal amounts of thoughtfulness and quality. Laughter and relationships don’t really have a gender, after all. The good stuff is the good stuff.

It was important to me that the cards would speak to the feelings you have about events and the people involved, rather than focusing on the events themselves. That’s why our products don’t say ‘Happy Birthday!’ but, rather, ‘You’re The Best And The Mostest,’ or ‘Heck Yes.’ The whole reason you’re pumped for someone’s life event is because it’s an occasion to celebrate what he or she means to you, and the amazing role they play in your life and in this world. That’s what the cake and candles are really about. Amazingness.”
