Important instructions from the team at Thimblepress:

Please note there is no “fire-power” in this product. It is a simple machine. You must, as we say, “serve it like a volleyball” after taking the lid off. The best method for confetti flying fun is to hit the stick on the middle of the palm of your hand. We recommend taking the lid off so that you can save it for future use of the food-safe container. One cannot simply take the lid off and wait for it to explode.

Get to Know the Maker: Thimblepress

In 2011, curiosity got the best of founder Kristen Ley, and she purchased a 1925 10 x 15 Chandler + Price letterpress from Lexington, KY. She hauled it all the way back to Mississippi on tiny trailer with just one other person as her letterpress-moving sidekick. With the press acquired she decided to open up Thimblepress®. The name was derived from her childhood, now continued on to adulthood, collection of thimbles from her travels. Every time she traveled to a new state she got a thimble to mark her visit.

Not only is Thimblepress® a letterpress studio, it is an art studio, sewing studio, design studio, woodworking studio, and basically anything creative that Kristen wants to try her hand at next. With the love of handmade, art, color and pattern, Kristen hopes to make Thimblepress a reflection of her life, love of her family, and her favorite places in the world; one of them being Mississippi.
